Environmental Policy

Charnic Interiors Limited are working with and developing our environmental policy based on the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:200.

Our priority is to adopt an environmentally safe approach to our services.

  • We are actively working towards reducing the impact on the environment through the process of continuous improvement within the Company.
  • We recognise that through the day-to-day operation of our business we have the potential to have a negative effect on our natural environment.
  • Our aim is to reduce any direct or indirect negative effects through the management of our business operations.
  • The Company undertakes to ensure that all employees and sub-contractors receive environmental awareness training and encourage feedback.
  • We aim to conduct all our activities in a manner, which minimises and, where possible, prevent, potentially harmful releases to air, land and water.
  • Manage and minimise waste through recovery, re-use and recycling in preference to disposal where we will seek continuous improvement in the use of material resources.

  • We will conduct Environmental Impact Assessments prior to the commencement of each new project and where possible, review the environmental performance of key suppliers and sub-contractors.

  • Conduct regular Internal Audits and Management Reviews to measure the effectiveness of our environmental procedures.

As Managing Director I am fully committed to ensuring that this policy is understood, implemented and monitored throughout all areas of the Company through a structured programme of training and review with emphasis on continual improvement and enhancement.

Health & Safety Policy

  • Charnic Interiors Limited recognises its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other relevant safety legislation with regards to its employees and others who may be affected by its actions.
  • The company will continually improve its systems, and provide such information, instruction, training, supervision, plant and equipment as necessary to identify, eliminate or control hazards and risks at the workplace.
  • All employees who supervise or manage the use of work equipment shall have received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, and any risks which such use may entail including the precautions to be taken.
  • All employees and sub contractors will co-operate with the Company in carrying out this Policy and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others. Site Managers will induct operatives before commencing on site to ensure contents of the Policy is briefed to all operatives.
  • Site Managers will also carry out updates to all employees as part of continued Health and Safety training.

Stuart Drummond has responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare and to whom reference should be made in the event of any difficulty arising in the implementation of this Policy.

The operation of this Policy will be monitored by the Management and the staff of the Company.

This Statement of Company Policy will be displayed prominently and made available at all sites and workplaces.

A full copy of this Policy is held at the company office for reference by any employee as required. A copy will also be available at each site.

This policy will be reviewed on a quarterly period and/or when legislation demands.

Working within the principles of Process Management we are setting a culture of continuous improvement with the aim to:

  • Quickly identify and eliminate all forms of wastes that do not bring value to the customer
  • Ensure we are creating a competitive advantage for any contract we are involved with
  • Recognise where and when we can add value to our processes and all aspects of our business
  • Continually provide high quality products and service to fully satisfy customer requirements
  • Deliver the correct, quality products to our customers on time and within budget.
